3i Infotech Western Europe believes in the need to protect the environment – we understand that a sustainable environment is particularly vulnerable to the impacts of industry and commerce.  We recognise the need for companies to act responsibly by assessing and minimising their damaging impact on the environment.

As a software and services organisation we believe that our operations are inherently of minimal impact on the environment.  However, we do realise that our day to day activities do have some negative outcome for the environment.  We therefore attempt to minimise these effects through responsible management.

In managing its operations 3i Infotech Western Europe endeavours to:

• aim to comply with the relevant environmental laws, regulations and industry standards of the countries in which we conduct business
• reduce the output of emissions that may adversely impact the environment through the application of good environmental practices
• minimise the consumption of energy used in our facilities
• reduce, re-use and, wherever is environmentally practicable, recycle consumables and dispose of non-recyclable items in an environmentally acceptable manner

In order to achieve these objectives 3i Infotech Western Europe will continue to:

• allocate management resources for the effective implementation and communication of its environmental policy to employees and interested stakeholders
• aim to reduce unnecessary travel through promoting flexible working practices, using appropriate technology to allow employees to fully carry out their responsibilities without always needing to travel to the office
• use electronic communication methods, where appropriate, such as email, telephone and web-based conference facilities to avoid non-essential travel
• aim to reduce energy usage by using energy efficient computer monitors, deploying appropriate light/heat reflecting coatings to windows and using energy efficient lighting
• where possible procure resources and services from suppliers who have a sympathetic approach to the environment
• implement waste reduction and management initiatives including the provision of facilities for the recycling of consumables such as paper, toner cartridges and computer equipment

3i Infotech Western Europe will regularly review its environmental policy to ensure it continues to manage and reduce any material adverse impact on the environment.
