Chris Potts - President and CEO – Western Europe
Based in London, Chris heads the Western European geography, and is a member of the 3i Infotech global operating board. Chris joined 3i Infotech as the Chief Executive of Rhyme Systems, which was acquired by the group in 2006. Rhyme had materially strengthened its reputable client base and market position, over several years, and became a highly attractive route to market for 3i Infotech, as it developed a global presence. Rhyme was created through a management buy-out, led by Chris in 2003, of the asset management systems business from Misys group. Between 1999 and 2002 Chris was Chief Executive of Citria Ltd, a leading European e-business solutions software house. Before that, at Mondex International, he was Deputy Chief Executive from 1995 to 1999, responsible for global sales, marketing and implementation of electronic payments systems in 70 countries. Chris worked with CapGemini between 1987 and 1995, a sales and consulting director at Hoskyns (their UK IT services group), then as a partner at Gemini Consulting (their global management consulting firm). Chris' early experience was in international oil and gas exploration, with Schlumberger. Chris has a PhD from Churchill College, Cambridge, and an MBA from Cranfield School of Management.
