Why use Arrow?
Arrow is deployed within some of the major investment management organisations in the UK, with clients using the Arrow applications to suit their own business needs. These range from low volume users, choosing to use Arrow in a standalone fashion, and higher volume users, some processing several billions of pounds of assets on a daily basis. Our customers place a heavy responsibility on the Arrow product, e.g.
- Arrow processes and reports on the netted transactions from LCH RepoClear® for the UK Gilt Market.
- Arrow processes and reports on the netted transactions from the LCH Equity Margining System (for the London International Financial Futures and Options Exchange - LIFFE), which cover Traded Options, Stock Futures and Equity Options.
Integration
Arrow consists of a number of different background processes to manage the complex and real-time processing demanded by our customers. One of Arrow’s strengths is its’ ease and ability to integrate to different back-office systems, facilitated by adaptable background processing:
-
Input Adapter
This process ensures mandatory data population, from incoming data, and format configuration. -
Host Decode
Specific data checks are undertaken to ensure business rules are adhered to reducing potential failures and maintaining compliance with CREST standards. Where exceptions are detected Arrow has the ability to allow customers to create user-defined alerts and authorisations tailored to comply with their internal procedures. Customers can also specify translations to accommodate bespoke mapping. -
Host Encode
Customers are able to select exactly which data they need to receive for their internal business processes. Arrow has the ability to transmit the following information:-
Transaction Status (Unmatched, Match, Settled, Registered)
-
